Albania

Albania covers an area of 28,748 km². The rural areas represent the largest part of the national territory. Of the total area, 42.8% percent is agricultural land while forests cover 28.16 percent. Arable land is 22.4%. Over 46.5 percent of the total population live in rural areas. Rural depopulation is an increasing problem in Albania.
